What do you make of his relationship with his father in the novel? I sometimes wonder if the secrecy between them is symbolic of a closeted homosexual to his father. On page 23, Louis remarks on Lestat's father bemoaning his wayward son, saying, "'Such a son, such as son,' he said, never suspecting, of course, the true nature of his son.'"
